1. Who we are
ELDICO Scientific AG ("ELDICO", "we", "us") is the controller of your personal data. Our registered office is Hegenheimermattweg 167A, 4123 Allschwil (BL), Switzerland (UID CHE-348.829.814). For any privacy matter, contact info@eldico.ch.
2. Scope
This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through eldico-scientific.com and our related marketing and sales activities. We process personal data in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
3. What we collect and why
- Enquiry & request forms (e.g. "Speak to an expert", feasibility, measurement, support, instrument specifications): the details you submit – name, work email, organisation and your message. We use these to respond to and manage your request. Legal basis: performance of / steps towards a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- Newsletters (Strategy Follows Structure; Nano-crystallography Update): your email and the topics you choose. Legal basis: your consent, given when you subscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Content downloads (application notes, brochures): the details you provide to receive the content. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in following up on your request; any marketing beyond delivering the content is optional and separately controllable.
- Website usage: cookies and similar technologies collect usage and device data (see §6). Legal basis: consent for non-essential cookies; legitimate interest for strictly necessary ones.
4. Marketing emails and your control
Where we send you marketing or follow-up emails on the basis of legitimate interest (for example, updates related to a request you made, or to existing business contacts), you can object and opt out at any time. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and our preference centre lets you manage each topic individually or unsubscribe from all. We never make consent to marketing a condition of providing content or services.
5. How your data is processed and shared
We use HubSpot (HubSpot, Inc.) as our CRM, forms, email and website platform; HubSpot processes personal data on our behalf as our processor. We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers acting on our instructions, or where required by law.
6. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to run the site and, with your consent, analytics/marketing cookies (including HubSpot's) to understand usage and improve our content. You control non-essential cookies through the consent banner and can change your choice at any time.
7. International transfers
HubSpot may process data on servers outside Switzerland/the EEA, including in the United States. Such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the Swiss addendum, and applicable adequacy frameworks).
8. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing). To exercise any right, contact info@eldico.ch. You may also lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority (in Switzerland, the FDPIC).
10. Changes
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date shows the current version.
