ELDICO Scientific is happy to announce the successful delivery and installation of the ED-1 at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany.
The instrument complements the analytical capabilities of the Institute's Chemical Crystallography department, extending the existing range of techniques – including SC-XRD, PXRD, SEM and TEM – and broadening the range of solid-compound analysis available to researchers.
What sets the ELDICO ED-1 apart is its ability to provide crystal-structure analysis from micrograms of sample material (nanocrystals). This opens new avenues for researchers working on heterogeneous catalysis, organocatalysis, organometallic chemistry and organic chemistry.
A cryo option with an easy-to-handle cryo-transfer system enables a wide range of sophisticated crystallographic experiments, expanding the application field to studies of solvent–framework interactions and phase-transition crystals.
